6. Operation
• The device will automatically quit the setting mode if no button is pressed for 20 seconds.
• Press and hold the HIST/UP or DOWN button in setting mode for fast mode.
6.1 Manual settings
• Press and hold the MODE/SET button in normal mode for three seconds to enter the setting mode.
• The first adjustable value flashes on the display.
• Use the HIST/UP or DOWN button to make the desired setting, while the value flashes.
• Confirm with the MODE/SET button and go to the next setting.
• The sequence is shown as follows:
– Temperature unit °C/°F (default: °C)
– Rainfall amount unit MM/INCHES (default: MM)
– DCF reception ON/OFF (default: ON)
– Time zone +2/-2 (default: 00)
– 24/12-hour format (default: 24Hr)
– Hours, minutes
– Month/day sequence D/M or M/D (default D/M)
– Year, month, day
– Day-of-week language (default: GER)
• After all adjustments are completed, press the MODE/SET button to exit the setting mode.
6.1.1 DCF reception
• By default, the DCF reception is activated (ON) and after successful reception of the DCF signal no manual time setting is necessary.
• Once the DCF time reception is deactivated (OFF) the clock must be manually set. No time zone will appear.
• If the DCF reception is activated, the manually set time will be overwritten by the DCF time when the signal is received successfully.
6.1.2 Time zone setting
• In the setting mode you can make the time zone correction
• The time zone correction is needed for countries where the DCF signal can be received but the time zone is different from the DCF
time (e.g. +1=one hour plus).
6.1.3 12/24-hour display setting
• In setting mode, you can choose between the 12 - or 24-hour system.
• In the 12-HR system AM (before noon) or PM (after noon) appears on the display.

6.1.4 Date format setting
• In setting mode, the two different date displays can be selected: date/month (European version) or month/date (American version)
(default: D/M).
6.1.5 Day-of-week language setting
• In the setting mode you can choose the day-of-the-week language.
• German (GER), French (FRE), Spanish (SPA), Italian (ITA), Dutch (DUT), Danish (DAN), English (ENG).
7. Alarm clock function
• The alarm clock has two separate alarms AL1 and AL2.
• Alarm time, alarm frequency (daily, weekday, weekend) and the snooze interval can be adjusted individually for each alarm.
• Press the MODE/SET button briefly in normal mode to enter the alarm mode.
• AL1 and 6:00 (default) or the last set alarm time appear on the display. Press the MODE/SET button again to switch to AL2.
• Press and hold the MODE/SET button for three seconds in alarm mode to enter the alarm setting mode.
• The first adjustable value flashes on the display.
• Use the HIST/UP and DOWN button to make the desired setting, while the value flashes.
• Confirm with the MODE/SET button and go to the next setting.
• The sequence is shown as follows:
– AL1 alarm time – hours
– AL1 alarm time – minutes
– AL1 alarm frequency from Monday to Friday (M – F), Saturday to Sunday (S – S), Monday to Sunday (M – S)
– AL1 snooze interval between 5-60 minutes or snooze function deactivated (OFF)
– AL2 alarm time – hours
– AL2 alarm time – minutes
– AL2 alarm frequency from Monday to Friday (M – F), Saturday to Sunday (S – S), Monday to Sunday (M – S)
– AL2 snooze interval between 5-60 minutes or snooze function deactivated (OFF)
• After all adjustments are completed, press the MODE/SET button.
7.1 Activate/deactivate the alarm
• To activate the alarm function, move the ALARM ON/OFF switch (1 and/or 2) to the left (ON).
• The corresponding alarm symbol with the set alarm frequency appears on the display.
• To deactivate the alarm function, move the ALARM ON/OFF switch (1 and/or 2) to the right (OFF).
• The respective alarm symbol disappears.
