Safe handling of batteries
• Avoid skin contact with spilled battery fluid. In the event of inadvertent skin contact, rinse the skin
with plenty of water and soap.
• In case of eye contact with battery fluid, immediately rinse the eye with clear water, including
under the eyelid, for at least 15 minutes. Point a gentle stream of water directly at the eye and
do not rub. Seek medical assistance immediately.
CAUTION! Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dipose of used
batteries according to the instructions.
1.3 User qualification
CAUTION!!
Risk of measuring errors if used by inexperienced tradesmen!
Erroneous measurements or device damage may result from unqualified use of
the resistance measuring device.
• All activities involving the device should be performed by experienced
tradesmen only.
These operating instructions list the following user qualifications for handling the device:
Tradesmen
Tradesmen are skilled in their craft and possess sufficient technical understanding to measure the
resistance of the heating cable and the remote sensor with the heating cable and remote sensor
tester. Measurements may only be performed by those who can be expected to perform their work
reliably and safely. Children and adolescents are not approved for handling this device.
1.4 Disposal
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION!
Improper disposal may pose an environmental risk!
Improper disposal can create hazards for the environment.
• Electrical waste, electronic components, and batteries should be disposed of
by approved specialist companies.
• In case of doubt, contact the local municipal authorities or specialist disposal
companies for information on environmentally sound disposal.
Never dispose of batteries and electronic components in household waste!
Batteries and electronic components must be disposed of separately!
