TIPS & TROUBLESHOOTING
Turn off energizer before handling fence or ba ery connec ons.
Symptom
Status LED is
solid red
No voltage on
fence
Problem
Energizer has stopped
pulsing due to ba ery
voltage falling less than 11
V. (This protects the ba ery
from permanent damage.)

Fence shorted
•
Fence disconnected
from energizer.
•
Energizer may have
been damaged by
lightning
Solu on
Replace fl at ba ery with a fully
charged one
Check energizer isn't faulty;
-
disconnect from fence and
earth
-
measure across fence and
earth terminals with a
Gallagher Fence Volt Meter
-
if less than 5 kV return
energizer for service
-
if more than 5 kV the fault
is with the fence or earth
system.
