5. Swing-over milking parlour
5.1 MPC-II in a swing-over milking parlour
In the swing-over milking parlour configuration there is 1 MPC-2 for two milking
points. The MPC-2 will be mounted in the middle of the milking pit. When the
cluster is moved from one side to the other, a switch will be operated with
which it is determined on which side milking takes place. There is an A or a B
in the middle of the display as an indication which side is active.
With a 1 or 2, depending on the swing-over switch, it is possible to see the
animal that is on the side where the milking does not take place. As an
indication the display will start flashing, thereafter the display returns to the
side where the milking does take place.
Manually entering an animal at the other side
Press 1 or 2 to select the other side
Open entry field with the C-key
Enter number followed by the E-key
5.2 Feeding in the swing-over milking parlour
After identification or manual entry of the cow number the feeding starts
automatically.

Press 1 or 2 to select the other side
Select feed
Open the entry field with the C-key
Enter the feed amount followed by the E-key
The C-key can be used for entering digits behind the decimal point.
