Entrance gate
4.2 Manual operation tandem milking parlour
In case of manual operation the exit gate (A), the entrance gate (B) and the
central entrance gate (C) can only be operated via the operation keys on the
MPC-2. Therefore the cows can be let into the tandem boxes in random
entrance gate
sequence. When opening the entrance gate (B) the central entrance gate can
be opened too in order to let cows into the tandem box. If present, the entrance
sensor (D) can be used to close the entrance gate automatically. Thereafter
the milking can be started. After the milking the cow can be let out of the
exit gate
tandem box by using the operation key of the exit gate.
4.3 Semi-automatic tandem milking parlour
In the semi-automatic milking parlour the exit gate (A) only functions via
operation of the keys on the MPC-2 and the entrance gate (B) and the central
entrance gate (C) function automatically via the program in the MPC-2. In
practise this works as follows: after start of the milking the central entrance
gate is opened by means of the operation key of the central entrance gate (C).

Also the entrance gate of the tandem box is opened. The cow is being milked
gate
and the exit gate (A) does not open automatically. By pressing the operation
key of the exit gate (A), the exit gate opens. Once the exit gate is closed again
both the central entrance gate (C) and the entrance gate of the tandem box
open again.
