2. Changing data

Not all data in the MPC-2 is changeable, see chapter 4.1 Animal information
function keys for an overview of changeable fields.
A field is changeable if, after pressing the Clear-key, the field shows dashes
flashing. The number of dashes indicates the number of digits (or letters) that
can be entered (e.g. three dashes indicates three digits).

2.1 Changing a field:

Open the field with the (C) Clear-key; on the display will appear as many

dashes as there are digits (or letters) to enter.

Enter new value with numeric keys 0 to 9.

If necessary enter a point with (C) Clear-key.
E
Close the field with the (E) Enter-key.

2.2 Restore an opened field:

The Shift-key is used to restore a field, opened by the (C) Clear-key. The old

value will be restored after pressing the Shift-key.

2.3 Two changeable fields in the display:

In some cases two fields in the display are changeable, e.g. cow number and
milk yield. The first field is changeable by the above described procedure. The
second field is selected by pressing the Shift-key, and then within two seconds,
press the (C) Clear-key (to open the field).
