2.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in danger to life.
3.
A rescue operation plan must be in place considering all potential emergencies which may arise
during work.
4.
The equipment may be operated by accordingly qualified and instructed personnel only. The
personnel must not suffer from any health impairments (e.g. dependence on alcohol, drugs,
medication; circulatory problems)!
5.
The IKAR mobile sleeve, compact must be properly installed; see section "Preparation for Use".
6.
The IKAR mobile sleeve, compact must be installed in a horizontal position, i.e. vertically aligned
towards the sleeve and in a stable position.
7.
Prior to installation of the IKAR mobile sleeve, compact, it must be tested whether the load-
bearing capacity of the installation space is sufficient and whether it is solid enough to withstand
the expected load of the extension arm in an unfavourable load position following a fall.
8.
The admissible load of the anchor device conforms to EN 795:2012 to secure one person and to
CEN/TS 16415:2017 to secure a maximum of 2 persons.
9.
Prior to each use of the equipment, check the legibility of the product identification on the IKAR
mobile sleeve, compact.

safe state of the equipment, remove it from use immediately! It may be reused only following
inspection by a qualified person and a written release. Any repairs may be performed by the
manufacturer only.
11. As required, but every 12 months at a minimum, the equipment must be inspected by the
manufacturer or a person trained and authorised by the manufacturer. The inspection must be
documented in the inspection books included with delivery. The effectiveness and reliability of the
IKAR mobile sleeve, compact and the IKAR extension arm require regular inspection.
12. Observe DGUV rules 112-198 and 112-199.
13. Protect the IKAR mobile sleeve, compact and the IKAR extension arm against any impact of
welding flames and sparks, fire, acids, alkaline solutions as well as extreme temperatures and
corrosive environments.
14. The admissible temperature range falls between -30° and +50° Celsius.
15. Do not apply any modifications or upgrades to the equipment in order to avoid any danger to life.
16. Before using disinfectants, you have to contact the manufacturer due to the complex legal
product classifications based on the specific applications and constituents.
Please note: In order to prevent a negative impact on the safe function of the fall arresting devices,
it is only permitted to use accessories approved by the manufacturer (e.g. rescue clamps to DIN
19428:2018, protective covers, etc.). The manufacturer is not liable for any accidents involving the life
and limb of the user if using non-approved accessories.
