Before Initial Use
CAUTION!
❐ Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of suffocation,
as well as other hazards!
❐ Make sure that the cable cannot touch the lid or the lower part of the device when the
device is in operation.
❐ Do not leave the device switched on for longer than 10 minutes without any contents.

Unpack the device, remove any fi lms and stickers that may be present and check the items
supplied for completeness (see the "Items Supplied and Device Overview" chapter) and pos-
sible transport damage. If you fi nd transport damage, do not use the device (!), but contact
the customer service department immediately.

To remove any production residues and the inherent smell of the device, proceed as follows:
1. Wipe the housing and the heating elements with a clean damp cloth.
2. Clean the accessories with hot water and mild detergent or in the dishwasher (see the
"Cleaning" chapter).
3. Dry all parts thoroughly.
4. Place the device on a dry and heat-resistant, fl at surface a suffi cient distance away from
fl ammable objects.
5. Place one of the grill plates onto the rotating mechanism in the middle of the lower shell
and fl ip the lid down.
6. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed 220 - 240 volt plug socket with safety
contacts.
7. Set the time controller to 10 minutes. The device is then switched on and the "Power"
control lamp lights up.
8. Set the temperature controller to level 3. The device now starts to heat up, the rotating
mechanism starts to rotate, and the "Heat" control lamp lights up.
9. After 10 minutes, the device switches itself off automatically (see also the "Use" chapter,
steps 6 and 7). During operation, make sure the room is well ventilated, e.g.
with wide-open windows! This is because you might notice a strange smell the fi rst
time you use the device.
10. Remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
11. Allow the device to cool down after it has been switched off.
