d) Display lighting
• In battery operation without plug-in mains adapter, the display lighting will only be
activated for a few seconds when you push the button "SNOOZE/LIGHT" (A2) briefly.
When operating the device with the enclosed plug-in mains adapter, display lighting
will be active permanently by default.
• To deactivate permanent display lighting , push the switch B8 from "ON" to the left.
• The colour of the display lighting depends on weather or switches automatically, ac-
cording to the setting. Observe item k) of this chapter for this.
• The brightness of the display lighting can be adjusted in 2 steps. Push the switch B9
to "L" for darker and to "H" for brighter.
e) Alarm function
Selecting and setting the alarm times 1 and 2
• Push the button "TIME" (A5) briefly several times to switch between display of the
date, alarm time 1 (display "AL1") and alarm time 2 (display "AL2") (D1).
• To set an alarm time, either switch to alarm time 1 "AL1" or alarm time 2 "AL2" (D1).
While an alarm time is displayed, keep the button "ALARM" (A6) pushed for 2 sec-
onds, so that the hours of the alarm time start to flash.
• Set the hours of the alarm time with the buttons "+/CHANNEL" (A7) and "-/MEM"
(A8). Keep the respective button pressed for quick adjustment.
• Briefly push the button "ALARM" (A6); the display of the alarm time minutes will flash.
Set the minutes of the alarm time with the buttons "+/CHANNEL" (A7) and "-/MEM"
(A8).
• Push the button "ALARM" (A6) again briefly to leave the setting mode and save the
alarm time. If you do not push any button for approx. 1 minute, the setting mode is left
as well and the currently set alarm time is saved.
After completing the setting mode, the currently set alarm is activated auto-
matically.
