To change the operating mode, proceed as follows:
• Hold down the "FHT80TF-2"'s button (B). The indicator LED (A) lights up.
• When the LED goes out, the "FHT80TF-2" is in programming mode. Now you may release the
button.
• Open and close all windows to be monitored several times to open and close the magnetic
contacts.
Then press the button.
• Now the indicator LED flashes to indicate the new operating mode.
• After a synchronisation period of about 1 minute, the "FHT80TF-2" will be in normal operation
again.
c) Signing on at a control unit
A door/window contact may be used by a wall thermostat to automatically lower the settings of the
heaters when the room is aired. In order for the control unit ("FHT80B") to know to which door/
window contact to respond, it must first be signed on:
• First put the control unit in learning mode, as described in the respective instructions.
• Now put the door/window contact in learning mode by holding down the button (B) until the LED
lights up.
• Then release the button. Now the "FHT80TF-2" is signed on, and the casing may be closed.
8. Operation
The "FHT80TF-2" does not have to be operated after commissioning.
It will automatically recognise when the window is opened and closed, and inform the room control
of the change in condition. The radio transmission takes place each minute, so that the new state
may be indicated at the control with a slight lag.
The "FHT80TF-2" indicates that it has recognised a closing/opening of the window through its
optical indicator (red LED):
• 3 short flashes – closing recognised
• 1 long flash – opening recognised
