cleAning And MAintenAnce - cleaning or replacing the filter
For best results clean or replace the filter after every second or third use of the vacuum cleaner, or more
frequently if the filter is visibly blocked.
C lean the filter regularly to avoid that the filter becomes clogged and the engine overheated.
1. R emove the waste from the dust receptacle (see "Removing
waste from the dust receptacle").
2. O pen the filter lid (see figure 8A).
3. T ake the dust separation system from the dust container (see
figure 8B+8C) twist the dust separation system to unlock the
dust container.
4. T ake the filter from the dust separation system (see figure 8D).
5. R inse all filter and the dust separation system thoroughly in
lukewarm water.
6. Allow the filter to dry thoroughly.
7. M ount the holders and filters in the reverse sequence.

Water could penetrate into the appliance if the filter is not thoroughly dry. This could result in
(electrical) damage.
•
Do not clean the filter in a washing machine.
•
Do not dry the filter with a hairdryer.

Replace the exhaust filter at least twice a year, and more frequently if the
filter is visibly blocked.
1. Remove the plug from the wall socket.
2. O pen the cover of the exhaust filter wheel cap by turning it to the left.
Pull the exhaust filter from the device (see figure 9).
3. R inse the filter in lukewarm water. Allow it to dry thoroughly.
4. R eturn the cleaned filter to the appliance. Close the cover, and turn
right until it clicks into place.
W ater could penetrate into the appliance if the filters are not
thoroughly dry. This could result in (electrical) damage.

D ispose of packaging material, such as plastic and boxes, in the appropriate waste containers.

W hen this product reaches the end of its useful life do not dispose of it by putting it in a dustbin;
hand it in at a collection point for the reuse of electrical and electronic equipment. Please refer to the
symbols on the product, the user's instructions or the packaging.

T he materials can be re-used as indicated. Your help in the re-use, recycling or other means of
making use of old electrical equipment will make an important contribution to the protection of the
environment.
