GUIDELINES FOR LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES
1. This clipper contains a lithium-ion battery. A lithium-ion battery does not
develop a "memory effect" like other batteries. This means that you can
charge the Monster Clipper at any time for a full charge, or even use
the clipper before the battery is fully charged. Like most rechargeable
batteries, lithium-ion batteries perform best when used frequently.
2. When the clipper won't be used for a week or more we recommend that
you unplug the AC adapter and store the clipper in a partially discharged
condition. Recharge the battery before use.
3. Optimum use of the battery capacity will be achieved when charging
at a stable temperature. Sudden fl uctuations in temperature may result
in a partially charged battery.
4. A battery that is used intensively or older then one year may not have the
same run-time performance as a new battery.
5. New lithium-ion batteries that are unused for a period of time, may not
accept a full charge. This is normal and does not indicate any problems.
After several cycles of trimmer use and recharging the battery will accept
a full charge.
To protect the environment please dispose the battery in a responsible manner,
exhausted batteries/ rechargeable batteries should not be disposed of in
the household waste. Dispose of them in a completely discharged state in
accordance with the local legal regulations. For more details on recycling options
and proper disposal, please contact your local waste offi cials/facility.
