CAUTION!
a) When fitting socket care should be taken to ensure that connector cables of 3-way
insert housing (grey) do not become trapped and do not therefore become damaged.
b) Ensure that seals are seated properly. In particular, the rubber seal of socket must be inserted
exactly in socket housing and must sit on insulating tube at cable exit from socket, not just on
individual wires.
c) Lay cable set so that no chaffing can occur.
d) Do not lay cable set near to exhaust system.
The socket assignment is as follows:

Route end of cable set that is marked with an
Disconnect vehicle-fitted 6-way plug housing from right rear light and connect and lock with
mating connector of cable set. Connect and lock remaining 6-way plug housing of cable set onto
right rear light.
Route end of cable set that is marked with an
Disconnect vehicle-fitted 6-way plug housing from left rear light and connect and lock with mating
connector of cable set. Connect and lock remaining 6-way plug housing of cable set onto left rear
light.
Connect cable lug of brown cable to existing ground point near to left rear light.
Connect and lock enclosed trailer turn signal monitor to 8-way plug housing of cable set and
secure in an appropriate place behind left side panel in boot (near vehicle-fitted 12V socket, if
provided) with enclosed screw M5x12 and nut M5.
NOTE:
The 3-way plug housing (red/blue, yellow and brown/green cables) is provided for an
extension of the socket functions. (permanent positive, charge line and ground for charge
line)
Lay this part of cable set behind panelling.
