9. Using the monitor
a) Switching on and off
Keep the "
/
" button (2) pressed for approx. 3-5 seconds to switch the monitor on or off.
After the monitor has been switched on, it needs a few seconds to recognise the wireless cam-
era and display a picture. The channel number under which the wireless camera is registered
appears at the bottom left of the display.
The wireless camera signal strength appears at the top left of the display near the battery sta-
tus. There you will also find the ambient temperature measurement determined by the wireless
camera temperature sensor (19).
b) Enabling/disabling standby mode
When the monitor is switched on, it can be switched to standby mode by briefly pressing the
"
/
" button (2). The screen is then switched off to save power. Pressing the button again
exits standby mode.
When noise alarm is enabled (see section 9. k), the standby mode is automatically disabled and
the camera image is displayed.
c) Adjusting screen brightness
The screen brightness can be increased with the "
" button (3) and decreased with the "
"
button (10). Lower brightness can extend the battery life.
d) Decreasing/increasing volume
Use the "+" button (4) to turn up the volume and the "–" button (11) to turn down the volume.
e) Calling up/exiting the menu
The menu can be called up with the monitor switched on (picture is displayed). Then briefly
press the "OK" button (5). To exit the menu (or submenu), briefly press the "
/
" button (2).
