Install the filter basket.
1. Install the filter basket into the tray. Make
sure the open side of the filter basket faces
the protective grill.
2. Install the tray into the product.
9 Cleaning and care
Important:
– Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions. They dam-
age the housing and can cause the product to malfunction.
– Do not immerse the product in water.
1. Clean the housing with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
9.1 Cleaning the air filter
Clean the air filter regularly to maintain its working condition. Also clean the air filter when you notice
an odor coming from the air outlet.
Important:
– Do not use compressed air to clean the air filter segments to prevent damage.
– Prevent growth of spores, keep filters dry. Always make sure filters are completely dry before in-
stalling them. A damp filter can become a breeding ground for mold spores.
Make preparations
1. Disconnect the product from the power supply.
2. Remove the tray by pulling the tab on the protective grill.
3. Remove the filter basket from the tray.
4. Prepare a bowl with a 1:1 mixture of warm water and white vinegar.
Wash and sanitize the filter
1. Wash the filter basket and the air filter segments under running water and a little handwash.
2. Soak the filter basket and the air filter segments for 1 hour in the water and white vinegar mixture.
3. Thoroughly rinse the filter basket and the air filter segments under running water.
4. Sanitize the air filter segments by heating them in a microwave oven for 30 seconds at high power.
Repeat twice. CAUTION! Risk of fire. Do not microwave dry air filter segments. Only mi-
crowave wet air filter segments.
5. Air-dry the filter basket and the air filter segments until completely dry.
Install the filter
1. Install the air filter segments into the filter basket.
2. Install the filter basket into the tray. Make sure the open side of the filter basket faces the protective
grill.
3. Install the tray into the product.

The product is ready for use again.
9.2 Cleaning the air duct
Regularly clean the air duct to remove dust and residue that settles when air streams through the air
duct.
1. Disconnect the product from the power supply.
2. Remove the tray by pulling the tab on the protective grill.
3. Clean the air duct and the tray with a dry cloth.
4. Install the filter basket into the tray. Make sure the open side of the filter basket faces the protective
grill.
5. Install the tray into the product.
9.3 Cleaning the water tank
Regularly clean the water tank to prevent bacteria build-up. Clean the water tank at least once in 3
days.
Important:
– Do not immerse the product in water.
1. Disconnect the product from the power supply.
2. Flip open the water tank cover.
3. Drain the remaining water from the water tank.
4. Clean the water tank with a cloth and dishwashing detergent.

Fill the water tank with water.
1. Flip open the water tank cover.
2. Fill the water tank with cold and fresh (or dis-
tilled) water up to the marking MAX.

11 Disposal
This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on the EU
market. This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of as unsorted muni-
cipal waste at the end of its service life.
Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose of it sep-
arately from unsorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and accumulators, which are not
enclosed by the WEEE, as well as lamps that can be removed from the WEEE in a non-de-
structive manner, must be removed by end users from the WEEE in a non-destructive
manner before it is handed over to a collection point.
Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are legally obliged to provide free take-back of
