• You can place the filter cassette in a large water tank, when you push on the top of the cassette, the dirt and water is squeezed
out (H).
• After cleaning, place the filter cassette(s) in the right direction back into the filter chamber (F), make sure the locks are closed.
• If you can't close the locks, make sure the rubber seal of the filter cassette is still placed correctly.
• You can rinse the inside of the filter with a garden hose, be sure to open the dirt water drain (Ja) of the filter chamber.
Optionally, you can connect a pond hose onto the drain by using a hose adapter (Art. 07,070,487 SF Pond ECO E 5000/12000
Hose Tail), which is available from your dealer.
• Put the cover back onto the filter with the filter inlet on the same side as the dirt water drains (J).
• Make sure the dirt water drains are closed, before starting the pump again.
Maintenance of the UVC unit
• Check monthly if UV lamp is burning via the peephole on the side of the filter cover (E).
• Always disconnect from the mains supply before carrying out any maintenance/repair!
• The lamp is hot, wait 10 minutes after switch off before opening the unit.
• The UVC device should be cleaned twice a year. As soon as algae growth increases, check the UVC and UV-lamp and clean or
exchange as needed.
• Clean the unit and quartz glass with Superfish UVC Clean available at your dealer.
• The UV-lamp (Art. 06011033 SF UV PL-lamp 24 Watt) should be replaced yearly.
• To avoid UVC overheating, switch off the UVC device when no water is flowing past it.
• In the winter season, when the system is not used, the Pond Clear unit should be removed to avoid the risk of freezing.

Replacing the UV lamp
• Make sure the power cord is unplugged and the UV lamp is cooled sufficiently.
• Turn off the pump and remove the pond hose from the filter.
• Remove both brackets by loosening the screws and take the UV unit out of the cover.
• Loosen the locknut (K) of the UVC device and gently pull the unit head with the quartz glass out of the housing.
• Carefully loosen the inner locknut (L) and gently slide the UV lamp out of the quartz glass.
• Clean the quartz glass outer face with SuperFish UVC Clean carefully and check for damage.
• Remove old lamp (to be recycled).
• Insert the replacement UV lamp in the fitting (Ma) and slide the protection clip (Mb) onto the UV lamp.
• Place the quartz glass back, make sure the O-ring is properly inserted and tighten the inner locknut.
• Slide the interior back into the housing and tighten the locknut of the unit head firmly.
• Fasten the UVC unit with both brackets, making sure the filter inlet is placed in front of the opening in the lid.
• Put the cover back onto the filter with the filter inlet on the same side as the dirt water drains (J).
• Switch on the power supply, check the operation of the UV lamp via the peephole (E).
