Important safety instructions
General safety
•
Remove the packaging and check the appliance for completeness.
•
Read the user manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
•
Check whether the voltage of the appliance corresponds to the voltage of the
local mains before using the appliance (underside the kettle & powerbase).
If this is not the case, contact your dealer and stop using the kettle.
•
Make sure the appliance is placed on a flat and stable surface, out of reach of
children.
•
Do not use the appliance outdoors.
•
Keep the appliance away from hot surfaces (like on or near a hot gas or
electric burner or in a heated oven), moisture and sharp edges.
•
The appliance is developed for domestic use.
•
Do not use the appliance other than its intended use to avoid potential injuries.
•
The appliance can be used by children aged over 8 and by individuals with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or those who lack knowledge
or experience, providing that they are under supervision or have received
instructions on how to use the appliance and understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance. The appliance must not be
maintained or cleaned by children younger than 8 years and without
supervision.
•
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children younger than 8 years.
•
The appliance is not a toy. Do not let the children play it.
•
The use of accessories, which are not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer, may result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications
such as:
– Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
– Farm houses;
– By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
– Bed and breakfast type environments.

Be aware that the outside may become very hot during use.
Special safety

Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor make it wet
with a very wet cloth, sponge, or the like.
