4. Electrical safety
Always check that the voltage of
the power supply corresponds to
the voltage on the rating plate.
• Do not use the machine if the mains
cable or the mains plug is damaged.
• Only use extension cables that are suit-
able for the power rating of the machine
with a minimum thickness of 1.5 mm
If you use a extension cable reel, always
fully unroll the cable.
5. Before the first use
Remove the machine and all accessories
from the package. Keep the packaging
materials out of the reach of small children.
There is a danger of suffocation!

7. Intended use
Use the hedge trimmer only for the intended
use to cut leaves, bushes, shrubs and
hedges. Do not cut thick branches or similar
material. The tool is to be used only for its
prescribed purpose. Any other use is
deemed to be a case of misuse.
8. Assembling
For optimal transport, the hedge trimmer is
supplied partly assembled. Assemble the
hedge trimmer as follows:
Mount the auxiliary handle (6) and the

hand protection (10) on the motor hous-
ing by using the included screws.
Warning!
Do not operate the hedge trimmer with-
out the hand protection! Never attempt
to remove or adjust the hand protection
once it has been mounted and fixed on
the tool.

Now connect the handle with the motor

To unlock and remove the handle from the
motor unit, depress the release button (8)
on both sides of the handle and pull out the
handle.
9. Mounting the telescopic handle
For using the telescopic handle (14), con-
nect the handle, the telescopic handle and
the motor unit together. Make sure that all
components are securely attached.
