General
Artidor's omnidirectional explosion-safe LED signal light is designed for use under the most
demanding conditions. The robust stainless steel housing and top plate, the 20 mm thick
impact-resistant window, the O-ring seal and encapsulated electronics ensure that the lamp
is completely impervious to water and salt.
The latest generation LEDs ensure a clearly perceptible visual signal. Dependent on the
selection of the user, the light will burn continuously or it blinks at a frequency of 1 Hertz. The
signal light can be ordered either with a radial cable connection or with a bottom connection.
This makes the lamp highly suitable for use as a warning light on control cabinets.
The connection cable has a standard length of 5 meters. For application under less
demanding conditions there is also a version available with an anodized aluminum housing
and top plate.
The Artidor LED signal light is explosion-safe and certified in accordance with European
Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX 114) and is CE marked.

Safety Instructions
The signal light AR-047 is an explosion-safe product suitable for use
in hazardous areas with explosion hazard from flammable gases, vapors,
mist and dust, classified as Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22.
This manual must be read and understood for safe use of the signal lights. All warnings and
instructions must be followed.

Installation must be carried out by personnel trained and qualified in explosion safety
taking the instructions mentioned on the equipment and in this manual into
consideration. Local regulations that apply to the installation must be followed.

During installation of the signal light national safety regulations must be observed.
•
Do not install the light in an environment where prolific charge generating mechanisms
(e.g. pneumatic transfer of powders, charge spraying in the powder coating process) are
present to avoid high levels of surface charge on the lights polycarbonate lens.
•
The cable must be installed fixedly.
•
Connect this equipment to the direct current supply voltage for which it is designed.
•
The free end of the cable shall be connected in non-hazardous areas or in a certified
enclosure suitable for the applicable explosion hazardous environment.
•
Isolate electrical power to the signal light before electrical installation.
•
The transparent lens can be electrostatically charged. Only use a damp cloth to clean
the lens. Do not use solvents.
