how to staRt
1. unpack
Unpack unit and remove all packaging materials.
2. Remove filter unit
Lift the filter unit out of the aquarium. Hold all the electric cables + airtube and pull the filter unit straight up
by holding the filter unit handle. (for lifting the filterunit the light should be removed!)
3. clean aquarium
Clean the aquarium, accessories and filterunit thoroughly with clean tap water and rinse the aquarium
completely clean. Never use cleaning products or alcohol, and always use a perfectly clean bucket.
4. fit light unit
Insert 2 Lighting arms into the Underlay tray and use screws to fix it. Its height is adjustable, and recommended
to keep space about 10 ~ 20cm between water surface and the light.
5. decide a place
Once water is in, the weight of aquarium tank will be around 60kg, make sure you place the aquarium on a
strong base in a safe place.
6. put gravel in tank
First put special marine gravel into the tank. Marine gravel is available at your dealer.
7. prepare seawater
Capacity of this product is approximately 40L, however considering sand, live rock, and filter materials, it is
likely to hold aproximatly 30 ~ 35L of water.
Prepare Chlorine neutralized water or Demi-water in a bucket, mix with special marine salt accordingly, and
stir until water is clear. Specific gravity must be 1.020 ~ 1.023 while water temperature is 24-26 ºC.
8. live rock
First put live rock before you pour seawater in the tank. 4 ~ 5kg of live rock is recommended. It is
recommended to wash live rock with scrubbing brush and seawater before usage.
9. pour marine water
Add marine water to both the tank and the filter room slowly.
Make sure the water level is as indicated. Checking the water level should
be needed again after the circulation pump starts. Ensure no water leak at
the end of this process.

10. turn on power of the circulation - and protein skimmer pump
Warning! Do not turn on or plug in heater yet. Plug in the pumps for the protein skimmer and the circulation
pump to the outlet. Ensure the drip loop on electric cord in order to keep off the water from penetration to
the outlets. The water starts circulating after the pump turns on. Both water levels of the tank and the filter
room get stable after 1 to 2 minutes of circulation, Adjust these levels to stay in the range indicated on the
side of the tank.
!
Lower water level causes the pump overheating and higher water level may cause the water
leaking out of the notch on the back.
11. confirm operation of the protein skimmer
Ensure the fine bubbles come out inside the protein skimmer.
12. adjust the water level of the protein skimmer
Adjust the water level to ensure proper operation.
Turning the knob clockwise -> higher water level
Turning the knob counterclockwise -> lower water level
The water level should stay in the range as indicated.
13. Install a heater
A thermostate controlled heater must be installed to maintain the correct watertemperature between
24 - 26 ºC.
14. Install a chiller
In hot areas in summer the water temperature can get too high and destroy alle live stocks, in this case a
chiller must be installed. With this unit we supply a special elbow connecting aquarium chiller to connect the
skimmer to the system.
15. turn on the power of the heater or chiller
After ensuring the stable water level and the protein skimmer in work, turn on the power of the thermostat
controlled heater or the chiller by plugging into the outlet. For temperature settings, follow your heater or
chiller's instruction manual. The temperature of 24 – 26 ºC is generally good for fishes and corals.
!
Important! Do not plug in your heater while the pump for protein skimmer is in halt condition.
The pump also functions supplying water to the heater area. When your heater is on without water it may overheat.
16. Install the filter unit cover & tankcover
Place the filter unit cover on the filter room. Locate the tank cover on the top and place the feeding hole cover
in position.
17. switch on lightning system

Install your lighting fixture to the lighting arm with clips, wires, or else. Turn on the light unit after live stock is
added. A optional timer makes the light fixture on/off automatic.
18. Break-in period of the protein skimmer
It may take a week to a month for the protein skimmer to function perfectly due to the growth of bacteria
inside the aquarium, it takes time to establish biological balance.
19. add livestock
The water condition is not stable due to unbalanced combination of purifying bacteria right after a live rock
is newly added in. Start adding strong livestock little by little when the water gets completely clear. Please
consult with your dealer for correct advise whitch livestock is suitable for your aquarium.
