Operation and safety
• The Expedition Plus Transport Chair is suitab-
le for persons up to a maximum of 130 kg (286
pounds) in weight and must be pushed by an
accompanying person.
• The tip assist can be used to navigate curbs or
door thresholds. To do this, step on the tip as-
sist with a foot and pull on the pushing handles
at the same time to lift the front of the transport
chair up.
• The Expedition Plus is not suitable for going
over curbs and obstacles greater than 5 cm wit-
hout the help of an additional person.
• Push slowly when going up and down slopes.
Do not use the Expedition Plus on down slopes
of more than 10°.
• Do not use on escalators.
• Do not lean out of the transport chair! Danger of
tipping over!
• Do not reach for objects out of the reach of your
arm's length.
• Avoid hazardous places such as narrow door
openings,
children's toys on the ground, etc.
• Do not set anyone in the transport chair from the
side. Always place the person in the transport
chair from the front.
• The parking brakes must not be used to reduce
speed. Use them only as brakes when the chair
is standing still.
Care and maintenance
• The aluminum frame of the Expedition Plus
Transport Chair and the nylon cushions can be
cleaned with a moist cloth and mild household
cleaners and disinfectants.
• After contact with moisture, always rub the
transport chair dry (spot formation).
• The transport chair should be inspected month-
ly for safety. All screws that may be loose must
be re-tightened, and damaged or worn parts
such as covers must be replaced immediately.
• The transport chair is delivered with wheels of
solid plastic material. No pumping is necessary.
• The transport chair is suitable for reuse. Ask the
manufacturer about the requirements for reuse.

Service life
Our company assumes a service life of five years
for this product as long as the product is used as
intended and all maintenance and service require-
ments are observed.
This service life may even be exceeded if the prod-
uct is carefully handled, repaired, maintained and
used and there are no technical limits based on the
further development of science and technology.
The service life may also be significantly shortened
through extreme and improper use, however. Deter-
mination of the service life by our company does not
represent any additional guarantee.
Reprocessing
The transport chair is suitable for reuse.
Ensure that the new user is given all of the technical docu-
ments required to ensure safe handling.
The transport chair must be cleaned and disinfected prior
to reuse and must be inspected for damage and approved
by the retailer.
Warranty
The warranty is 24 months from the date of purchase.
We reserve the right of error and modifications on
the basis of technical improvements and changes
in design.
