de accu lader verwijdert wordt de schakelaar openen als de spanning minimaal 60 seconden onder de 12,8V (25,6V) zakt.
Starthulpcontact:
De Battery Seperator heeft nog een extra aansluiting, als u gebruik wil maken van de starthulp-optie. Als u de starthulp aansluiting aansluit op de
startschakelaar, zal de Seperator de tweede accu bij-schakelen tijdens het starten. Pas echter op bij zware (diesel) motoren. Hierbij kan de startstroom
dermate hoog zijn dat deze de schakelaar beschadigt. U moet in dit geval kiezen voor Separator die een hogere stroom kan verwerken, bijvoorbeeld de
250A uitvoering.
Spanningsafhankelijke schakelaar:
In sommige voertuigen is het gewenst dat alleen op een extra aansluiting spanning beschikbaar is indien het voertuig in bedrijf is. Ook hierbij is de BS zeer
eenvoudig bruikbaar door één aansluiting aan te sluiten op de startaccu en de andere aansluiting op uw accessoires. Indien nu de accu geladen wordt zal
de accu spanning snel stijgen boven de 13,2V (26,4V) en zal de schakelaar sluiten en de accessoires voorzien van spanning.
Accu/accessoires beveiliging:
Alle types Battery Separator hebben een unieke beveiliging voor de tweede accu en de accessoires. Indien de spanningsregelaar van de dynamo defect
raakt zal de laad spanning ruim boven de toegestane accuspanning kunnen stijgen. Dit kan/zal de accu en de aangesloten accessoires beschadigen. De BS
zal echter de schakelaar onmiddellijk openen en voorkomt hiermee dus onnodige schade!

WAARSCHUWING:
Gebruik voor de accu en accessoires aansluitingen voldoende stevige kabelaansluitingen (Heavy Duty koper kabelschoenen) en neem draden van een
voldoende diameter (zie Technische gegevens) zodat er geen overbodige warmteontwikkeling ontstaat bij de aansluitingen. Bij slecht aansluit materiaal en
te dunne draden kan de BS beschadigen.
Kortsluiting tussen de plus en min aansluiting van de accu kan uw systeem zwaar beschadigen. Zorg dat de kabels goed bevestigd zijn!

Er is een kleine vertraging ingebouwd tussen aan en uit schakelen om te voorkomen dat het relais schakelt door een korte dip of piek in de spanning. Het
relais schakelt onmiddellijk af bij een overspanning van 16V bij 12V systeem en 32V bij een 24V systeem.
Battery Separator BS100/140 Universal Autodetect 12/24V
Features:
The BS is a microprocessor controlled Battery Separator for use in systems with more than one battery for example in boats, caravans and campers. It
safely charges the auxiliary battery and prevents starting problems. Also the BS can be used as a voltage dependent switch.
The BS is a microprocessor controlled high power mechanical switch. The BS waits until the battery connected to the active charging source reaches 13.2V
(26,4V) for at least 7 seconds before paralleling and charging the auxiliary batteries. Normally the accessories are connected to the auxiliary battery. The
system disconnects if the battery voltage reaches 12.8V (25,6V) for at least 60 seconds. This way the starter battery stays charged.
Bipolar switching:
The BS has a second unique feature. If a charger is connected to the second battery, for example in boats and campers, and the battery reaches 13,2V
(26,4V) for at least 7 seconds the switch will connect the starter battery so this will be charged also. This is an advantage if you lie/stand still for a longer
time. This way the starter battery also stays in optimal condition. As the charger is removed and the voltage drops to 12,8V (25,6V), for at least 60 seconds,
the switch will open again.
Start help:
The Battery Separator has an extra connection for the optional start help. If this connection is connected to the starter contact, the Battery Separator will
switch on and the second battery will assist starting the engine. But be aware that large diesel engines can have very high start currents which can damage
the switch. Use for this feature with the BS250.
Voltage dependent switch:
In some cases it is desirable to have a connector that is only powered when the vehicle is running. For this kind of application the BS is also useful. Connect
the primary battery connection to the starter battery and the other connection to the equipment. If now the engine is started the starter battery will reach
