NEEMT.
Het model Vulcan is vervaardigd uit Corten staal. Dit heeft de eigenschap dat zich een roestlaagje vormt. Dit laagje
beschermt het product tegen doorroesten. De modellen Norsk Firescale, Peak, Max en Top zijn vervaardigd uit staal
en voorzien van een buitencoating. Deze coating zorgt ervoor dat uw terrashaard voor langere tijd beschermd is
tegen weersinvloeden. U dient er echter rekening mee te houden dat er na verloop van tijd roest kan ontstaan.
De terrashaard is een sfeerhaard en deze dient uitsluitend ter verhoging van de sfeer in uw tuin of op uw terras.
Voor de veilige werking van de terrashaard dient u onderstaande maatregelen/instructies nauwkeurig op
te volgen.
HET ZICH NIET HOUDEN AAN DEZE MAATREGELEN/INSTRUCTIES KAN LEIDEN TOT
BRAND, LICHAMELIJKE LETSEL OF ANDERE ERNSTIGE SCHADES.
• Dit product is bedoeld voor gebruik buiten in de vrije ruimte zoals bijvoorbeeld een tuin of groot terras. Plaats het
dus nooit binnen of in een (gedeeltelijk) afgesloten ruimte.
• Zorg voor een vrije afvoer van de rookgassen: plaats de haard niet onder een zonnescherm, parasol, boom, e.d.;
• Bescherm de ondergrond zoals het gazon tegen verbranden: zet de haard op een plaat (van onbrandbaar materiaal);
• Bescherm de ondergrond zoals het terras tegen roestvlekken: zet de haard - ook als deze niet in gebruik is -
op een beschermende plaat;
• Plaats de haard op minimaal 1,5 meter afstand van brandbare materialen of objecten;
• Voorkom dat vonken, uit de haard vallende houtdelen en as in aanraking komen met brandbare materialen of
objecten zoals rieten dak, party tent, kleding, etc.;
• Vermijd contact met een brandende of hete haard ter voorkoming van brandwonden;
• Laat kinderen en/of personen die de consequenties van hun handelen slecht overzien nooit alleen bij een brandende
of hete haard;
• Let op huisdieren: laat deze nooit in de buurt van een brandende of hete haard;
• Vermijd inademen van rook;
• Laat geen kleding, handdoeken e.d. drogen op de haard;
• Bij het stoken van de haard dient u erop te • letten dat anderen (bijv. buren) hiervan geen hinder ondervinden.
• Stook uitsluitend goed gedroogde houtblokken en niets anders;
• Breng geen wijzigingen aan de haard aan en gebruik deze niet voor andere doeleinden dan waarvoor deze bedoeld
is.
• Gebruik voor het aanmaken van de terrashaard alleen papier, karton,aanmaakblokjes en wat kleine stukjes hout.
Zorg dat er voldoende lucht tussendoor kan zodat het geheel makkelijk vlam vat.
• Als er voldoende vuur is kunt u er wat grotere blokken als een piramide omheen plaatsen, hierdoor blijft de warmte
in het vuur.
• Laat een laagje as in de stookruimte liggen, dit functioneert als isolatielaag voor het vuur.
• Indien u de haard schoon wilt maken kan de afgekoelde as met een schepje en zinken emmer verwijderd worden,
gebruik hiervoor geen stofzuiger of plastic emmer i.v.m. brandgevaar.
• Overbelast de haard niet, stook maximaal met een paar houtblokken tegelijk.
• Wanneer de terrashaard voor langere tijd wordt opgeslagen is het verstandig deze af te dekken en op een droge
plaats neer te zetten. Voor dit doel is een afdekhoes als accessoire leverbaar en verkrijgbaar bij uw leverancier.
• Let op dat u de optionele afdekhoes pas over de haard plaatst als deze helemaal is afgekoeld.
• Indien uw haard is uitgevoerd met een houtvak onder de stookruimte moet u erop letten dat u het hout in dit vak niet
tot bovenaan opstapelt. Het is belangrijk dat u minimaal 20 cm afstand houd tussen het opgestapelde hout en de
stookruimte, dit om spontaan zelfontbranden van het opgestapelde hout te voorkomen.
• Bij gebruik van een grillrooster de haard eerst een half uur goed laten doorbranden en wacht daarna totdat een dun
laagje as de gloeiende houtskooltjes bedekt. Gebruik voor het grillen houtskool wat voldoet aan: NBN M 11-001 of
EN 1860-2.

READ THIS BEFORE USING YOUR OUTDOOR FIRE GRATE.
The Vulcan model is manufactured from Corten steel.A characteristic of this steel is that it forms a very thin
layer or rust. This thin layer protects the product from rusting through. The Norsk Firescale, Peak, Max and Top
models are manufactured from steel and are provided with an outer coating. This coating ensures that your outdoor
fire grate will be protected against the weather for a long time. However, you must take into account the fact that
rust can develop over time. The outdoor grate is for appearance only and serves only to enhance the
appearance in your garden or patio.
For the safe use of the outdoor grate, you must follow closely the measures/instructions provided
below.
NOT FOLLOWING THESE MEASURES/INSTRUCTIONS CAN LEAD TO FIRE, PHYSICAL
INJURY OR OTHER SERIOUS DAMAGE.
• This product is intended for outdoor use in open spaces, such as a garden or large patio. It should therefore never
be placed indoors or in a (partially) closed-off space;
• Ensure the free removal of smoke and fumes: do not place the grate under an awning, parasol, tree, or similar;
• Protect the surface such as the lawn against burning: put the grate on a flat slab (of noncombustible material);
• Protect the surface such as the patio against rust stains: put the grate – even when not in use – on a protected flat
slab;
• Place the grate a least 1,5 metre away from inflammable materials or objects;
• Ensure that sparks, pieces of wood that fall out of the grate, and ash do not come into contact with combustible
materials or objects such as thatch, party tents, clothing, etc.;
• Avoid contact with a burning or hot grate to prevent burns;
• Never leave children and/or people who do not anticipate the consequences of their actions alone with a burning or
hot grate;
• Pay attention to pets: never leave these in the vicinity of a burning or hot grate;
• Avoid breathing in smoke;
• Do not dry clothes, towels or similar on the grate;
• When lighting a fire in the grate, you should ensure that this does not cause discomfort for others (e.g. neighbours).
• Light only well-dried blocks of wood and nothing else;
• Do not modify the grate in any way, and do not use it for purposes other than those for which it is intended.
• When making a fire in the outdoor fire grate, only use paper, cardboard, firelighters and some small pieces of wood.
Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation between them so that the fire can easily take hold.
• When the fire is burning sufficiently you can place larger blocks of wood around in the shape of a pyramid, retaining
the heat in the fire.
• Leave a layer of ash in the fireplace, which acts as an isolation layer for the fire.
• Should you wish to clean the grate, the cold ash can be removed with a spoon and zinc bucket. Do not use a
vacuum cleaner or plastic bucket for this purpose due to the risk of fire.
• Do not overload the fire; only add a couple of wooden blocks at a time.
• If the outdoor fire grate is to be stored for a long period of time it is advisable to cover it and place it in a dry
location. A weather cover is available as an accessory from your supplier for this purpose.
• Take care that you only place the weather cover over the grate when it has cooled completely.
• If your grate is supplied with a wood compartment beneath the fireplace you must take care that the wood in this
compartment is not piled too high. It is important that you leave a distance of at least 20cm between the pile of wood
and the fireplace in order to prevent self combustion of the pile of wood.
• When using your Norsk for the first time, we strongly recoomend allowing it to burn for half an hour. Always use
charcoal (complies with NBN M 11-001 or EN1860-2).
