Working principle
The remote control dimmer EV 002
allows to control the lighting level of
an incandescent load, halogen lamp
LV (230 V), and Extra Low Voltage
halogen lamp (ELV 12 V or 24 V) with
electronic or ferromagnetic transformer.
The light level is adjusted using the push
button on the front of the device

Press shortly :
to switch the device ON or OFF.
Keep pressure on :
to vary the minimum or maximum lighting
level. Each new press reverses the
direction of the dimming.

Funktionsbeschreibung
Der Ferndimmer EV 002 ermöglicht es die
Helligkeit von Glühlampen, Halogenleuchten
(230 V), Niederspannungs-Halogenleuchten
(12 V oder 24 V) - mit einem elektronischen
oder konventionellen Transformatoren zu
dimmen.
Die Einstellung der Helligkeit erfolgt

Die Dimmrichtung der Regelung wird bei
jedem erneuten Druck geändert.

Protection against overheating
and overloads
In the event of overheating or overload the power
available is automatically reduced.
To remedy this situation :
- adjust or lower the load connected to the output
of the dimmer,
- lower the T° of the device and that of casing by

In case of a short-circuit or excess overload, the
load will not be actuated.
To remedy this situation :
- check if the output is in short-circuit,
- lower the power of the load connected to the
product.
Überhitzungs- oder
Überbelastungsschutz
Bei eventueller Überhitzung oder Überbelastung
wird die zur Verfügung stehende Leistung
automatisch reduziert.
Um dieses Problem zu beheben :
- reduzieren Sie die am Dimmausgang
angeschlossene Lasten oder passen Sie diese an,
- reduzieren Sie die Temperatur des Gerätes oder
die des Gehäuses indem Sie Distanzstücke
(z.B. LZ 060) an beiden Seiten des Dimmers
.
EV 002 einsetzen, um eine gute Belüftung zu
garantieren.
Bei einem Kurzschluss oder einer Überlast wird die
Ausgangsspannung abgeschaltet.
Um dieses Problem zu beheben :
- prüfen Sie ob der Ausgang einen Kurzschluss hat,
- reduzieren Sie die Anschlussleistung.

To allow heat to dissipate and keep the unit
cool, place the EV 002 at the bottom of any
enclosure.
Warranty
A warranty period of 24 months is offered on hager products,
from date of manufacture, relating to any material of manu-
facturing defect. If any product is found to be defective it must
be returned via the installer and supplier (wholesaler).
The warranty is withdrawn if :
- after inspection by hager quality control dept the device is
found to have been installed in a manner which is contrary to
IEE wiring regulations and accepted practice within the indus-
try at the time of installation.
- the procedure for the return of goods has not been followed.
Explanation of defect must be included when returning
goods.
