IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The safety of electrical appliances from FIRST
Austria complies with the recognized technical
directives and legal regulations for safety.
Nevertheless, you and the other users of the
appliance should observe the following:

Please read these instructions carefully
before using this appliance for the first time
and keep them for further reference.
•
This product has not been designed for
any other uses than those specified in this
manual.
•
Before connecting the appliance to the
power source, check if the voltage indicated
on the appliance corresponds with the
mains voltage in your home. If this is not the
case, contact your dealer and do not use the
appliance.
•
Place the appliance on a clear, flat and heat-
resistant surface. Distance from the wall
should be at least 5cm. The area above the
appliance should be kept free to allow an
unobstructed air-circulation. Never place the
appliance or power cord on hot surfaces. Nor
should the appliance be placed or operated
in the vicinity of exposed gas flames.

The appliance must not be exposed to
dripping or splashing water. Do not place any
water containers (such as vases) next to or on
top of the appliance.
•
To protect from electrical hazard, do not
immerse this appliance or cordset in any
liquids.
•
If the appliance or the power cord shows
any signs of damage, do not operate it! Take
the product to an authorized and qualified
service center for inspection or repair.
•
The ventilation openings must be kept free.
•
Do not place the product in closed
bookcases or racks without proper
ventilation.
•
Do not use this appliance outdoors.
•
Do not pull directly on the power cord, rather
pull on the plug to disconnect the appliance
from the power source.
•
The appliance is not a toy. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
•
Children do not realize the dangers which
can arise when working with electrical
appliances. Therefore, they should only be
allowed to use electrical appliances under
supervision. Special care should be taken in
the presence of children.
•
We are excluded of liability for all damages
that may arise if the appliance is used for
purposes other than originally intended or if
it is used inappropriately.
•
Repairs and other work undertaken on
the unit must only be done by authorised
specialist personnel!

POWER SUPPLY
This unit is designed to operate on AC mains
supply
AC OPERATION
Insert one end of the AC power cord in to AC
SOCKET (9) of the set and the other end into an
AC wall oulet.
For dual voltage version,make sure that the
VOLTAGE SELECTOR (10) is switched to your local
voltage
AUX IN JACK
Any signal can be input through the AUX IN
JACK (size 3.5 mm), and this set the function as a
power amplifier.
1. Set the MODE SWITCH (4) to AUX position.
2. Insert the plug of the audio line cable which
is available in most audio stores into the AUX
IN input jack, and the other small connector
into the Line Out jacks of signal source (other
CD/MP3 player, recorder etc).
3. Press Play button of the signal source to start
playback.
RADIO OPERATION
1. Press the power ON/OFF button to turn on
the unit and set the MODE SWITCH (4) to the
desired band position.
2. Tune the TUNNING KNOB (3) to the desired
broadcast station.
3. Adjust VOLUME CONTROL (6) to the desired
level.

4. Extend TELESCOPIC ANTENNA (8) to full
extent if you are tuning FM broadcasting.
5. A built-in directional antenna to receive a
signal for AM. The best place to locate the
unit is near the window, and change the
direction for best reception.
PRECAUTION AND MAINTENANCE
1. Avoid placing this unit near sources of high
temperature such as fireplace or sunlight for
long time as this may result in damages to
plastic housing or electrical parts inside the
unit.
2. There are no serviceable parts inside the unit.
Therefore, do not open the back cover of the
unit. In case of any defect or repair of unit,
please refer to qualified service center.
