Fitting the standard sensor holders (fig. f, page 8)
The standard sensor holders are stuck to the bumper from behind.
➤ Carefully clean the area around the hole.
Caution!
The primer is highly flammable.
Vapour from the tube can cause eye irritation.
➤ Stick the double-sided adhesive strip to the sensor holder.
➤ Apply a thin coat of primer.
➤ Remove the protective foil from the double-sided adhesive tape on the
sensor holder.
➤ Push the sensor holders into the holes and push them against the
bumper.
✓ The adhesive pad holds the sensor holders in place.
Fitting the sensor holders with cover rings (fig. g, page 8)
The sensor holders with cover rings are plugged into the bumper from below.
The cover ring covers up any irregularities.
➤ Align the sensor holders so that the fastening lugs are upright.
➤ Push the sensor holders into the holes until they lock into place.
Fitting the sensors (fig. d, page 7)
When fitting the sensors, bear in mind that the sensor cables are of different
lengths and are colour-coded. Fit the sensor with the shortest cable nearest
the control electronics.
The two sensors with the blue backs must be fitted on the outer sides of the
bumper (1 and 4).
The two sensors with the black backs must be fitted on the middle of the
bumper (2 and 3).
➤ Push the sensors into the holders until they lock into place.
