In-line dimmer LDV
Operation
The in-line dimmer, LDV, is used for switching on and
off and dimming moveable lights. It is integrated into
their mains connection cable.
Safety instructions
This device must be installed by a technician
in accordance with the applicable regulations.
The electrical power supply must be switched
off throughout the entire installation process.
Please check that the mains connection cable is
disconnected!
Under no circumstances does the warranty cover
damage resulting from failure to observe these
instructions. Nor do we accept liability for any
indirect damage. Similarly, we can accept no
liability for any material damage or bodily injury
caused by mishandling or failure to observe the
safety instructions. In these cases, no warranty claim
may be made. In addition, for safety and compliance
reasons, you are not authorised to dismantle or alter
the device in any way.
Installation
Slide the switch towards the indicator lamp as far
as the end stop, then open the casing as shown in
Fig. A. Remove the cord grips on either side of the
device (Fig. B). Connect the mains connection cable
as shown in the wiring diagram (Fig. C), then fasten
the
mains
connection
cable
with
the
grips (Fig. D).
Close the casing as shown in Fig. E. Check the
position of the switch while doing so (Fig. E1).
Start-up/adjustment
To switch the light on and off, slide the switch to
either of the end stops. Light adjustment is infi nitely
variable.
As long as the mains cable plug is plugged in
a socket, the device is not isolated from the
mains supply. When changing the light bulb,
the light must therefore be unplugged to prevent
electric shock.
Changing the fuse
Before changing the fuse, the light must be
unplugged to prevent the risk of electric
shock.
Only replace with fuses of the same rating as the
original fuse (250 V/3.15 A M).
Open the casing, change the fuse as shown in Fig. F
and close the casing again (refer to the
section).
