Explanation of symbols and safety instructions
H Active medical devices
This information is relevant for users with active medical
devices.
Pacemakers, brain pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-
defibrillator and insulin pumps, are examples of active medical
devices.
Bosch charging systems, which are operated as intended,
comply with the European directive (2014/30/EU) on
electromagnetic compatibility regarding interference radiation
in industrial sectors.
If users with active medical devices want to perform activities
on charging systems and their equipment is in normal
operation and following their intended purpose, Bosch is not in
a position to make any statement regarding the suitability of
such active medical devices. Bosch cannot assess the
corresponding active medical devices concerning their
susceptibility to electromagnetic radiation. This only can be
done by the manufacturer of the active medical devices.
Equipment can include, among others, control cabinets with
access through RFID readers and displays. Therefore, Bosch
recommends the users in question work on the charging
systems only after consulting the manufacturer of the active
medical device and the responsible insurance company. In any
case, always make sure that there are no risks to health or
safety.
CAUTION
Users with active medical devices are not allowed to work on
the charging systems and thier equipment to perform, for
example, maintenance and troubleshooting operations.
H Safe working on the charging system
Before the charging coupler is plugged into the vehicle:
▶ Make sure the charging system's connecting cable is
completely unwound.
▶ Make sure to check that the charging system housing, the
connecting cable, the charging coupler, and the
connections are undamaged.
▶ Make sure to hold the plug connection of the charging
system only by the charging coupler, and not by the
charging cable.
▶ Make sure that there are no tripping hazards (e.g. due to a
loose charging cable).
28
During the charging process:
▶ Make sure to keep unauthorised persons away from the
charging systems.
▶ Make sure to not clean or wash the vehicle with a high-
pressure cleaner while the charging system is connected
since the connector is not pressurised.
In case of malfunction or failure of the charging system:
▶ Make sure to disconnect the charging system from the
power supply by switching off the respective circuit
breaker in the building's electrical cabinet. Affix a sign with
the name of the person authorized to switch the circuit
breaker back on.
▶ Make sure to notify a qualified electrician without delay.
When working with electrical equipment:
▶ Make sure to keep the charging system housing closed at all
times.
