8.4 Replacing stripping blades
Potential risk of fatality due to electric
shock!
When working on the inside of the machine,
non-insulated parts may be touched.
► Switch the machine off.
► Pull the power plug.
► Open the front flap.
Risk of injury posed by sharp blades!
► Use forceps to change the blades.
► Dispose of the removed blades in a sepa-
rate container.
All present blades must be replaced each time the
knife is changed.

CAUTION

► Set stripping grade "99".
► Switch off the machine at the On/Off switch (figure
3.2, 7).
► Open the front flap (figure 3.1, 3) and remove the wire-
end ferrule belt.
► Shut the front flap.
► Press the touch display (figure 3.1, 4) and switch the
machine on. The machine moves to the blade-chang-
ing position (see tool symbol on the display).
► Switch the machine off.
► Open the front flap.
► Remove the screws (1).
► Change the stripping blade (2).
► Assemble each blade pair so that the bevelled edges
point outwards (see figure 8.2).
► Insert the stripping blade into the blade holder up to
the stop.
► Shut the front flap.
► Switch on the machine.
The tool symbol is displayed.
► Press the touch display for 3 seconds.
The machine moves automatically to the home position.
► Select the stripping grade (see section 5.1).
► Switch the machine off.
► Insert the wire-end ferrule belt (see section 5.4).
