HEINE XP Disposable Laryngoscope
Handle Shell
Please read and follow these instructions for use of and keep them for future reference.
Intended Use
This XP handle shell is designed for single use only for endo-tracheal intubation with a fiber optics laryngoscope
blade or XP blade and will only function when fitted with a HEINE Standard (XHL/LED) laryngoscope inserts
including bottom insert. It should only be operated by qualified medical personnel within a professional health-
care facility or emergency medical services environment.

Operation
We can only guarantee the function of this unit if a HEINE Standard (XHL/LED) laryngoscope insert (2),
a HEINE bulb (3) and HEINE spare parts are used.
Bring the blade into the normal working position and check that the light switches on.
The bulb brightness can reduce during use if the rechargeable battery was not charged sufficiently before
use. We recommend a minimum recharge time of 10 minutes for HEINE rechargeable batteries in HEINE
chargers.
After some minutes' use the laryngoscope bulb will be hot.
The laryngoscope may only be used by trained personnel.
