Anti-drip system
With the anti-drip system, you can iron even the most delicate fabrics. Always iron these fabrics at low
temperatures. The plate could cool down to such an extent that no more steam comes out, just drops
of boiling water that can leave edges or stains. Turn the steam selector to off to activate the anti-drip
protection, which will prevent steam from being generated, thus reducing the risk of staining.
Automatic switch-off
If the iron (when connected to the switched-on station) is in use for longer than (approx.) 30 seconds,
a safety device is activated and the heating switches off. When this happens, the Auto Power Off
indicator light (K) will start flashing. Raise the iron back up to the horizontal position to deactivate this
safety feature (this is indicated by a constant blue light), and allow the iron to heat up to the required
temperature again before you re-start ironing.
Preparation
Sort the laundry that is to be ironed according to the international symbols on the clothing label or, if there
isn't one, according to the type of fabric. Start by ironing garments that require a low temperature.
This shortens waiting times (the iron takes less time to heat up than to cool down), and eliminates the risk
of scorching the fabric.
STEAM IRONING
Filling the tank
1. Check that the plug has been removed from the socket.
2. Remove the iron from the station and place it at a safe distance before filling.
3. Turn the steam selector switch (D) to [Fig. 1].
4. Open the water tank cover (C).
5. Lift the tip of the iron to make it easier for the water to flow into the opening without overflowing.
6. Using the measuring cup (supplied), slowly pour water into the tank, taking care not to exceed the
maximum level (about 370 ml) indicated by "MAX" on the tank (O). [Fig. 2]
7. Close the water tank cover (C).
Choice of steam
1. Use the higher temperature settings - from two points to three points - to create an even flow of steam
and avoid the possibility of water splashing out.
2. To make sure there is enough water in the water tank, turn the iron upright. Wipe off any water that may
be around the lid.
3. Select the required temperature on the temperature control disc (G) (this must be in the steam range
as shown on the disc). [Fig. 3]
4. Place the iron in the station and insert the plug into the socket:
• If you use the iron connected to its station [Fig. 4], make sure the station lock switch (L) is in the
locked position.
• If you use the iron separately from the station [Fig. 5], place the iron upright on the station and wait
for it to reach the right temperature for best performance.
5. When the temperature indicator light (H) goes out, you can start ironing.
• When the iron is connected to the station, you can continue ironing.
• If the iron is used separately, you can use it for about 30 seconds after the temperature indicator
light (H) has gone out (this will vary depending on several factors), and then you will need to return it
to the station. You can use it again after the temperature indicator light (H) goes out again.
6. Set the steam selector switch (D) to the desired position. [Fig. 1]
Use the steam burst trigger (F) to release steam when ironing vertically.
IMPORTANT: Set the steam selector to the CLOSED position to maintain pressure for the steam burst
function and to avoid water splashing out when the steam trigger is pressed.
Once the iron is fully heated, press the steam burst trigger (F) to create a powerful burst of steam that can
penetrate fabrics and smooth out difficult wrinkles. Wait at least 2 seconds before pressing the release
button again. [Fig. 6] You can also iron vertically by pressing the steam burst trigger (F) at intervals (for
curtains, hanging clothes, etc.). [Fig. 7]
