4.3 Using the product safely

Please observe the following instructions to minimise any safety hazards, prevent
damage to the device, and help protect the environment.
Please read all the safety instructions carefully and store them for future reference.
Always follow all the warnings and instructions in this instruction manual and on the
rear of the device.
DANGER!
Risk of electric shock!
- Only charge and store in enclosed spaces.
- Do not use in rooms with high humidity.
- If the device falls into water while connected to the mains, disconnect the
power supply immediately. Only then pull the device out of the water!
- Never touch the device or the connecting cable with wet hands when these
components are connected to the mains.
- Never vacuum up liquids. Do not let any liquids get into the dust holder.
- Keep the motor unit away from moisture or dampness!
- If the device is to be used as a hand-held vacuum for cleaning a car, make
sure that it is not exposed to rain or moisture.
WARNING
Risk of injury!
- Risk of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from the packaging
material.
- Risk of strangulation! Ensure that the connection cable is always out of
reach of small children and animals.
- Risk of chemical burns! If the battery has leaked, prevent the skin, eyes and
mucous membranes from contacting the battery acid. In case of contact
with battery acid, rinse the affected areas immediately with plenty of clean
water and seek medical help immediately.
- Risk of suction! Keep animals, hair, jewellery, loose clothing, fingers and
all other body parts away from the nozzles of the device. They could get
sucked in. If the vacuum does suck such things in, switch the device off
immediately.
- Risk of tripping over! Ensure that the connecting cable does not pose a
tripping hazard.
