Cleaning the heating plate
After it cools, the unit may be cleaned. Cover the frame with a hand, so that water

does not get inside.
Remove any scraps of food using a paper cloth. If they cannot be easily removed,
o
pour a small amount of water into the heating plate and turn the thermostat to ON.
The plate will heat up and become easier to clean.
Clean the heating plate with a soft, moist cloth or sponge
o
and a mild cleaning agent.
Do not clean the plate when it is hot. This can damage the
o
unit or cause fire.
Do not use nylon brushes when cleaning the unit. This can
o
damage its surface.
After drying, place a thin layer of cooking oil on the plate's surface.

Cleaning the cover
Clean the unit's cover with a soft cloth or sponge and mild cleaning agent. Rinse
o
with clean water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth
Never use solvents, gasoline, abrasive chemicals or chemical brushes as they can
damage the unit's surface.
After cleaning, wipe the unit dry or turn it on for a short while to dry.
Ensure that the unit has been properly cleaned prior to storing it in a dry place.
6.3 Safety instructions for maintenance
o Check the mains connection cable for damage from time to time. Never operate the
device when the cable is damaged. A damaged cable must immediately be replaced
by customer service or a qualified electrician to avoid dangers.
o When you encounter damages or failures contact your specialist dealer or our
customer service.
o Only qualified experts may perform repair and maintenance work on the device
using original replacement and accessory parts. Never attempt to repair the
device yourself!
