➤ Check the fuel level by tilting the tank (8) vertically (fig. 3, page 3).
Keep it in this position for 20 s, to make sure it's not overfilled. In addi-
tion, in the case of accidental overfilling you can get rid of the surplus
fuel.
✓ The maximum fuel level is reached when the fuel is visible in the recess
inside the tank opening (fig. 3, page 3).

The heater will operate even if the tank isn't filled with the maximum
capacity.
➤ Wipe possible spilt alcohol off the outside of the tank (8).
➤ Fasten the burner (4) to the fuel tank (8).
Ensure that the four springs (7) hold the fuel tank.
➤ Place the unit of tank (8), burner (4) and grid (3) into the heater.
Ensure that the lock springs (10) hold this unit.

Lighting the heater (fig. 1, page 2)

Quickly remove your hand as soon as the burner ignites.
➤ Take off the top cover (1).
➤ To open burner (4), pull out the regulator (5) and turn it to the left (ON).
➤ Place a lighter in the ignition hole of the burner (4) and light it.

I
If the heater hasn't cooled down from previous use, the burner may
ignite but immediately extinguish. In this case blow air into the
burner opening to dissipate vapour.
Afterwards light the heater as described above.
➤ Adjust the flame so it does not extend beyond the edge of the pot.
– To increase the heat, turn regulator (5) towards left (ON).
– To reduce the heat, turn regulator (5) towards right (OFF).
