PLEASE NOTE!
■
Never use the device without the glass jug below the coffee outlet.
■
Never overfi ll the
The device has overheating protection which prevents the device from being
switched on again directly after a brewing process for safety reasons. After a
brewing / heating process, you should therefore wait for a few minutes until the
device has cooled down before you start another brewing process.
1. Fill the water tank (2) (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter | "Filling the Water
Tank").
2. Insert the fi lter insert (15) and the permanent fi lter (13) or a paper fi lter (see the "Han-
dling and Operation" chapter | "Inserting the Filter").
3. Pour the amount of coffee powder you want into the permanent fi lter or paper fi lter
using a suitable spoon. We recommend one heaped coffee measuring spoon (not
supplied with the device) per 125 ml.
4. Close the water tank cover (1). When you do this, make sure that the water outlet (14)
is pushed forward, as otherwise the water tank lid cannot be closed.
5. Place the glass jug (9) under the coffee outlet (10) or a cup under the hot water out-
let (5).
6. Move the dial (4) either to the left (towards the coffee bean symbol) to make coffee,
or to the right (towards the water droplet symbol) for hot water.
7. Press the Start / Stop button (3) in order to start the brewing / heating process. The
operating lamp in the Start / Stop button lights up.
Coffee
The device heats up the water and pumps it via the water outlet into the fi lter. The hot
water brews the coffee, which then runs into the glass jug.
If the water in the water tank runs out, the keep-warm function switches on automati-
cally (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter | "Keep-Warm Function").
If the brewing process is to be aborted prematurely, press the Start / Stop button and
the device switches to stand-by mode.
Hot Water
The device heats up the water and intermittently pumps water through the hot water
outlet. As soon as the cup is full or the water discharge is to be stopped, press the
Start / Stop button. The device switches to stand-by mode.
Note: A little water will continue to run. The cup should therefore not be removed
immediately after stopping the process, but instead wait a short time until the pump
has emptied.
8. After ending the brewing / heating process, turn the dial to the AUS (off) position to
switch off the device.
9. Pull the mains plug out of the socket and allow the device to cool down completely.
