j) Use with an external DMX controller
Each DMX device in a DMX chain requires a so-called DMX starting address to be clearly identified by the
controller. This DMX starting address specifies the first DMX channel to which the effect light responds.
The remaining control channels come after this first DMX channel (DMX starting address).
The effect light requires 1-7 free DMX channels depending on DMX operating mode.
DMX operation always takes precedence over any other mode. Once a signal is pending at the
DMX input DMX IN, the other operating modes are deactivated. The display shows the DMX
starting address.
Setting the DMX starting address
• Set the desired DMX starting address (001-512) in the menu A001-A512.
Setting the DMX operating mode
• Set the desired number of DMX channels with the option Ch 1-Ch 7 in the menu A001-A512.
