• Use the support bracket (1) to mount the effect light to a ceiling, a wall or a suitable traverse system. The
installation must never be free-running. Use installation material suitable for the mounting surface and
able to withstand the load of the LED spotlight.
• Additionally secure the device with a suitable safety rope or safety net when installing the device at
elevated heights. The safety rope or net must be able to hold the LED spotlight independently from the
main mounting device in case the main suspension fails.
• Set the desired tilt angle and tighten the star knob screw (3) on the support bracket well.
9. DMX 512 connection
The controller supports the operation of a maximum of 50 devices in a DMX chain or otherwise
will be overloaded.
The DMX chain should not exceed a maximum length of 50 m.
The use of XLR microphone cables can interfere with the DMX signal transmission. In such a
case, use special DMX high-frequency cables.
a) Connection to a DMX controller
The device only supports the connection to a DMX controller with DMX 512 protocol.
• Connect the DMX IN (6) input to the output of the DMX controller.
• In order to do so, use a shielded XLR cable. Depending on the DMX operating mode, the controller must
have a maximum of 4 free control channels.
• Connect the DMX OUT (7) output to the DMX input of the subsequent device.
• If the LED spotlight is the last or only device in the DMX chain, connect a plug with a terminal resistance
of 120 ohm/0.25 W to the DMX OUT output (between pin 2 and pin 3).
