❐ Before using the device for the fi rst time, familiarise yourself with the device. Be
absolutely sure that you know how to deactivate the device.
❐ When activating the device, keep all parts of your body away from the cutting head.
❐ Storage batteries may be life threatening if swallowed. For this reason, keep storage
batteries and the device out of the reach of small children. If a storage battery has
been swallowed, seek immediate medical attention.
❐ Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not al-
low the cord to hang over the edge of a table or kitchen worktop. Someone could
catch him/herself and pull down the device.
Using and Handling the electric Tool
❐ Do not overload the device. Use the electric tool designed for your work.
❐ Do not use an electric tool if its switch is defective.
❐ Disconnect the plug from the socket and/or remove the storage battery before you
make any adjustments to the device, change accessories or put away the device.
❐ Keep unused electric tools out of the reach of children. Do not allow persons to
use the device, who are not familiar with it or who have not read through these
operating instructions.
❐ Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
❐ Before use, ensure that the cutting head has been securely mounted.
❐ Take good care of the electric tools. Check whether the moving parts work
properly and do not catch, whether any parts are broken or damaged such that the
function of the electric tool is affected. Have any damaged parts repaired before
using the device.
❐ Check the charger for damages prior to each use. If the charger, the cord or the
plug exhibit visible damages, they may not be used. Do not use the device if it
malfunctions.
❐ If the device or charger is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In the
event of damage, contact the customer service (see section "Customer Service").
❐ Do not make any changes to the device.
❐ Only use the device if it has been properly assembled and is fully functional.
❐ Use the electric tool, accessories, insertion tools etc. in accordance with these
instructions. In the process, consider the working conditions and the work to be
performed.
❐ Before use, familiarise yourself with your surroundings, pay attention to potential
risk sources. Avoid rocks when using the device. When using the device, take heed
of (unwanted) objects that should not be trimmed.
❐ Do not use the device to trim any wet plants or plants with branches thicker than
6 mm in order to prevent the blade from jamming.
❐ If the cuttings jam in the device, immediately turn off the device and wait until the
blades have come to a stop and then remove any cuttings jammed in the device.
