∙ The appliance may only be used

∙ Children must not be permitted to play
with the appliance.
∙ Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away from
children – these are a potential source of danger, e.g. of
suffocation.
∙ Before the appliance is used, the main body including
the power cord as well as any attachment fitted should
be checked thoroughly for any faults or defects. Should
the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto
a hard surface, or if excessive force has been used to
pull the power cord, it must no longer be used: even
invisible damage may have adverse effects on the
operational safety of the appliance.
∙ Do not allow the appliance or its power cord to touch hot
surfaces or to come into contact with any heat sources.
∙ When removing the plug from the wall socket, never pull
on the power cord. Do not let the power cord hang free.
∙ Do not use the appliance with any attachments
other than those provided by the manufacturer; all
components must be properly fitted (see Preparing the
unit).
∙ Never operate the appliance when empty.
∙ No responsibility will be accepted if damage results from
improper use, or if these instructions are not complied
with.
Before using for the first time
Before the juicer is used for the first time, it must be
cleaned as described in the section Cleaning and care.
Power cord storage
There is a power-cord storage compartment in the base.
Unwind the cord to the required length before use. After
use, wind up the cord.

Operation
Preparing the unit
∙ Fit the drive stem onto the drive shaft on the base.
∙ Fit the juice container so that the

∙ Lock the juice container by turning it clockwise, so
that the

NB:
If the juice container turns during operation, it is not
properly locked. In that case, switch the appliance off,
lock the container properly and then continue.
∙ Fit the pulp sieve onto the juice container.
∙ Fit the juicer dome over the pulp sieve and onto the
drive shaft.
∙ F it the lid insert into the lid and push it firmly down.
∙ Push the hinge opener on the juice container down and
fit the lid into the hinge.
∙ Place a suitable container under the juice outlet and fold
the outlet down.
∙ Connect the appliance to the mains. The juicer is now
ready for use.
Extracting juice
∙ Cut the citrus fruit in half and place one of the halves
onto the dome with the cut section facing downwards.
∙ Close the lid; ensure that it is heard locking into place.
∙ Use the On/Off switch to turn the appliance on. A beep-
signal is heard and the 'Start' button lights up.
∙ Push the 'Start' button until you hear a beep-signal.
∙ The fruit is now pushed up, juice is extracted and the
fruit is lowered again, the juice being collected in the
container.
∙ Wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill.
Now the lid can be opened, the fruit residue removed
and a new piece of fruit put on the dome.
∙ When processing larger quantities of fruit, the pulp sieve
must be emptied from time to time as necessary.
∙ When extracting juice from larger fruit (e.g. grapefruit),
ensure that the Max marking is not exceeded – the juice
outlet must be folded down early enough.
∙ After use, fold the juice outlet up and switch the
appliance off.
∙ Remove the plug from the wall outlet and clean the
appliance.
Reset button
∙ Following a power interruption, or if the appliance is
blocked up, the pulp sieve and juicer dome will remain
in their current position. The reset button flashes and
beep-signals are heard.
∙ Push the reset button. The unit now reverts to its starting
position and the juicing process can be continued.
