Start-Up
Do not turn on the device before you have read and understood these operating instructions.
Check again that all connections are correct.
a) Switching the Mixer On/Off
Not observing the following sequence when switching the mixer on and off could damage the
speakers or the amplifier.
Switching on the Devices
•
Make sure that the channel faders (6) are set to minimum volume (channel fader pulled right back to the lowest
point).
•
First switch on the playback devices connected to the mixer.
•
Turn the mixing desk on with the POWER switch (11).
•
Switch on the connected amplifier/s and the recording device (connected to the MAIN OUT TAPE connection
(21)). The mixer is now ready for operation.
Switching off the Devices
•
To switch off the mixer, completely turn down the volume on the mixer and then on the amplifier.
•
Switch off the amplifier/s.
•
Then switch off the mixer with the POWER switch (11) and then the playback devices (record player, CD player
etc.).
•
If you are not using the mixer for a longer period, pull the mains plug out of the socket.
b) Selecting the Input
Reduce the volume to the minimum setting with the corresponding channel fader (6) before
operating an input selection switch (5). Due to the different levels of the playback sources,
sudden, excessive volume might be present when switching between the inputs.
•
Use the input selection switches PHONO/LINE (5) to select the desired inputs.
