7. Safety
7.1
Country-specific safety information
Observe these installation instructions during installation.
We guarantee trouble-free function and operational
reliability only if the original accessories and spare parts
intended for the appliance are used.
7.2
Instructions, standards and regulations
WARNING Electrocution
All electrical connection and installation work must
be carried out in accordance with VDE regulations
(DIN VDE 0100) [or local regulations], the rules of
your local power supply utility, and relevant national
and local regulations.

Never use a permanently installed connecting cable.
The appliance must be able to be separated from
the power supply by an isolator that disconnects all
poles with at least 3 mm contact separation.

Install the appliance in such a way that control
equipment cannot be touched by a person in the
bath or shower.

Only fit the appliance to a vertical wall that is tem-
perature-resistant to at least 85 °C.
Maintain minimum clearances to adjacent surfaces.
Never install the appliance directly below a wall
socket.

Only remove appliance and accessory packaging at
the installation location; look out for the separate
pack.
When unpacking, ensure that no accessory parts
are left in the packaging.

Observe the type plate. The specified voltage must
match the mains voltage.

Observe the Building and Garage Regulations [or
local regulations].

When installing the heating appliance in rooms with
a bath and/or shower, observe the safety zone ac-
cording to VDE 0100, section 701, in accordance with
the details on the appliance type plate.

8. Installation
8.1
Appliance installation
To secure the appliance, proceed as follows:
» Unpack the appliance carefully.
» Drill the fixing holes in accordance with the
dimensioned drawing in the chapter "Specification".
» Insert the rawl plugs. The rawl plugs supplied are
suitable for solid walls. For other wall structures,
suitable rawl plugs
must be provided on site.
» Insert the first screw into the top hole drilled in the
wall, leaving approx. 3 mm of the screw protruding.
Then hook the appliance into the gap between the
wall and the screw head.
» Using the second screw, secure the additional
wall retainer, located at the lower rear part of the
appliance, to the wall.
The appliance can now no longer be removed from
the wall.
8.2 Power supply
» Select a power cable with an adequate
cross-section.
» Install a socket for permanent power supply at a dis-
tance of at least 10 cm from the side of the appliance.
» The power cable must not touch the appliance. Trim
it so it leads directly to the socket. Then strip the
wires and cut the cores to size.
