ECo fUNCTIoN
The temperature settings 1, 2 and 3 are particularly
power efficient. When choosing one of these setting the
word „eco" appears in the display.
KWH INDICATIoN
By pressing the button „kWh" (6) you can check the
actual use of power in kWh. The power use is shown since
the last switch on. Because of the minimum use of power
in the „EcO"-function the actual value (power use in
kWh) will change after a while.
TIP: keep the bedroom cool and warm the bed with the
blanket to ensure a healthy sleeping climate.
ANTI-ALLErgy-SETTINg
Over the past several years the number of people allergic
to house dust and dust mites has increased dramatically.
Irritation of the eyes, attacks of sneezing and coughing
and shortness of breath in the early morning hours are
typical symptoms of this type of allergy. These reactions
are triggered by the proteins in the excrement of the
dust mite. mites are virtually ever-present in a moist,
warm micro-climate, as often predominates in beds. They
primarily feed on human skin scales and molds that can
be found in every household. Even with regular, thorough
cleaning, dust and skin particales constantly accumulate.
With the anti-allergy temperature setting, you can
fight back against the mite population and create a dry,
mildew-free bed environment.
For this, set the body and foot area temperatures to level
9 and the automatic switch-off time to 12 hours. "anti-
allergy" is shown in the display.
In order to prevent heat being lost, the electric
underblanket must be completely covered by the duvet
for this process.
This process dries out your mattress and thereby creates
a hostile microclimate for the mites. We recommend
regular use of the anti-allergy temperature setting.
Ideally, the electric underblanket should be operated for
the full 12 hours.
7 | cLeaning & maintenance
always disconnect the power plug from the socket
outlet before cleaning the electric blanket.
Before washing, first remove the plug-in connection, and
with it the switch, from the electric blanket.
Smaller stains can be removed using a cloth or moist
sponge together with a little liquid detergent for delicate
fabrics if necessary. please note that the electric blanket
should not be dry-cleaned, wrung out, machinedried,
pressed or ironed. In case of heavier soiling, this electric
blanket can be washed in a washing machine. Set the
washing machine to a particularly gentle, 30°c cycle
(woollens programme). use a wool laundry detergent and
follow the manufacturer's instructions. please note that
excessive washing will wear out the electric blanket. For
this reason, the electric blanket should only be machine-
washed a maximum of 5 times throughout its entire life.
When drying the electric blanket, do not use clothes
pegs or anything similar. Do not reconnect the switch to
the electric blanket until the plug-in connection and the
electric blanket are completely dry. Never switch the
electric blanket on to dry it!
If you are not going to use the electric blanket for some
time, we recommend storing it in its original packaging
in a dry place without weighing it down. Allow the
electric blanket to cool down beforehand.
