• Check the product for damage and wear be-
fore each use. The product may be used only
when in good working order and condition!
• Do not make any modifications to the product!
• When removing the housing make sure also to
remove the ground spike. This may constitute a
hazard (e.g., to be tripped over).
Avoiding material damage!
• Make sure that the solar cell does not become
soiled or covered by snow and ice in winter.
Otherwise the efficiency of the solar cell is
reduced.
• Take into account that cold temperatures can
have a negative influence on the service life of
the rechargeable battery.
Warnings regarding integrated
rechargeable batteries
• Charge only intact and undamaged recharge-
able batteries.
• Protect the rechargeable batteries from me-
chanical damage. Fire hazard!
• Should electrolyte solution leak from the
rechargeable batteries and the product, avoid
contact with eyes, mucous membranes and
skin. Rinse off affected areas with plenty of
clean water and consult a doctor immediately.
The electrolyte solution may cause irritations.
• Never charge and store the product near
major sources of heat or near open flame as
this could lead to explosion of the rechargea-
ble batteries.
• The charging contacts on the rechargeable
batteries may not come into contact with
metallic objects.
• Never try to manipulate, modify or repair the
rechargeable batteries or the product.
• When the rechargeable batteries have
reached the end of their service life they must
be disassembled and disposed of.
• Once having been removed for disposal the
rechargeable batteries may not be used again
or disassembled.
• Use only rechargeable batteries of the same
type. Do not mix old rechargeable batteries
with new ones.
Danger!
• The rechargeable batteries may not be thrown
onto a fire or short-circuited. The rechargeable
batteries can overheat and explode.
• The rechargeable batteries must not be disas-
sembled.

Use
Setting the product up
Put the product in the ground at the desired
location.
Note: Make sure that it is standing safely by in-
serting it deep enough into the ground (approx.
25-30cm) (fig. C).
Note: In order not to damage the product do
not apply force (e.g., by hammering) when
setting up.
Switching the product on/off (fig. A)
1. To switch the product on, slide the switch (1a)
to the desired mode, "Sound", "Vibration" or
"Sound+Vibration".
2. Slide the switch to "OFF" to switch the product
off.
"Sound" mode
Every 20 seconds the product produces a sound
lasting about 5 seconds.
"Vibration" mode
Every 20 seconds the product produces a vibra-
tion lasting about 5 seconds.
"Sound+Vibration" mode
Every 20 seconds the product produces a sound
and a vibration lasting about 5 seconds.
