safety instructions
• Please read the instructions carefully and completely before
operating this appliance and retain for future use.
• The appliance is intended solely for domestic use within the
home.
• Always use batteries which corresponds with the voltage printed
on the bottom of the appliance.
• Caution! Do not stand on the outer edge to one side of the scale
otherwise it may tip!
• An electrical appliance is not a toy and should therefore always
be placed outside of the reach of children. Children are not
always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a
responsible handling of electrical appliances.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
• If possible, always weigh yourself at the same time of day
(preferably in the morning), after using the toilet, on an empty
stomach and unclothed, in order to achieve comparable results.
• Stand on the scale without moving and with equal weight
distribution on both feet!
• Do not stand on the scale with wet feet and do not step
on the scale when its surface is wet - danger of slipping!
• Minor deviations are normal. When you drink 1 glass of water
for example a difference of 300 grams can occur.
• Protect the scale against hard knocks, moisture, dust, chemicals,
major temperature fluctuations and heat sources which are too
close (stove, heating radiators).
• Always ensure that the scale is placed on a flat, stable surface
and only use it indoors.
• If you decide never to use the appliance again, we advise you
to dispose of it in special containers or at a municipal waste
collection point.
