For tropical fi sh you need to use an aquarium heater.
The SuperFish NanoHeater 50 Watt is a perfect choice for the
Planty 25. You can place the heater behind the background, so it
is invisible, make sure it is well submerged in water!
First carefully read the heater manual before usage!
After fi lling the aquarium, and with every water change always
add water conditioner to remove toxic substances and protect
your fi sh. Add bacterial culture as well to help your biological
fi lter to start and maintain water quality.
Before putting any fi sh in the aquarium, allow it to run for at least
two days (a full week is better) and ensure that the temperature is
correct (check the water temperature with an aquarium
thermometer). Make sure that whenever you add fresh water it is
of the correct temperature, big temperature changes will make
your fi sh sick.
Test the aquarium water and adjust the water parameters as
necessary before buying your fi sh and plants. You can also ask
your dealer to do this. After placing fi sh in the aquarium, test the
water every 2 days for 2 weeks and adjust any incorrect water
parameters.
Afterwards test the water quality once a week!
Change 20% of the aquarium water weekly while cleaning the
gravel and walls of the aquarium, make sure the fresh water is of
the same temperature as the water in your aquarium!
Add water preparation and live bacteria with every water change.
Feeding is an important thing to keep you fi sh healthy, however
when you feed too much your water quality will get bad and
your fi sh get sick or die, feed once a day as little as the fi sh will
eat in 5 minutes, remove left over food.
Do not forget your plants also need regular fertilizing!
