STROBE-75 is a stroboscope for application on stage,
in discotheques, in party rooms, etc. The flash rate is
adjustable via a control.
The stroboscope can also be controlled via a con-
troller. For controlling up to four STROBE-75 units, the
following controllers are available from the "img Stage
Line" range:
STROBE-1C (order number 38.3270)
small built-in controller with control for the flash rate
STROBE-4C (order number 38.3260)
miniature control panel with control for the flash rate,
two operating modes (music control/automatic mode
with 10 chase programmes), and additional func -
tions
2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to all required directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with
WARNING The unit is supplied with hazardous
mains voltage (230 V~). Never make
any modification on the unit not de -
scribed in this manual and do not insert
anything into the air vents, otherwise
you will risk an electric shock!
Please observe the following items in any case:

The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).
G
Always place the unit in such a way that a sufficient
air circulation will be ensured during operation.
Never cover the air vents of the housing.
G
The unit is not designed for continuous operation;
long phases of operation should always be inter -
rupted by breaks.
G
Do not operate the unit or immediately disconnect
the mains plug from the mains socket
1. in case of visible damage to the unit or to the
mains cable,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.

A damaged mains cable must be replaced by skilled
personnel only.

Never pull the mains cable for disconnecting the
mains plug from the mains socket, always seize the
plug.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
water or chemicals.

than originally intended, if it is not correctly installed
or operated, or not repaired in an expert way.

Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in ac -
cordance with the following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow must
be connected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol
or coloured green or green and yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning – This appliance must be earthed.
If the unit is to be put out of operation defini -
tively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the environ-
ment.
3 Mounting
Mount the unit via its bracket, e. g. by means of a
stable mounting screw or a support for lighting units
(C-hook) on a cross bar. Slightly release the two
locking screws on the bracket, adjust the desired in -
clination of the unit, then retighten the screws.
WARNING Mount the unit safely and expertly. If it is
installed at a place where people may
walk or sit under it, additionally secure it
(e. g. by a safety rope fixed to the
mount ing bracket; fasten the safety
rope in such a way that, even in the
event of a fall, the maximum falling dis-
tance of the unit will not exceed 20 cm).
4 Operation
WARNING 1. Please note that fast changes in
lighting, e. g. flashing light, may trig-
ger epileptic seizures with photosen-
sitive persons or persons with epi-
lepsy!
2. To prevent eye damage, never look
directly into the light source.
