2) General information
Besides a pleasant, cooling flow of air, the
Hama "LED Message Fan" offers the pos-
sibility to display six freely programmable
messages containing up to 16 characters
with changing animations. There are 26
letters A-Z, 10 digits 0-9 and many special
characters available for programming
the texts.
3) Connection and getting started
•
Turn on the PC/laptop and wait for it to
start up completely.

Insert the other end into the USB socket
in the PC/laptop.
ON/OFF switches the device on or off
Press the switch into the base of the fan.
4) Programming and displaying messages
The three function buttons (SET, MODE,
UP/DOWN) are used for programming.
+ When the device is delivered, it has
six pre-programmed messages. It is
however possible to change all of them.
*
Press the MODE button to enter the
programming mode.
* A flashing cursor appears.
*
By briefly and repeatedly pressing the
UP/DOWN button, the letters, special
characters and digits will be succes-
sively displayed.
•
Ifthe UP/DOWN button is held for
two seconds, the order of characters
display will be reversed.

When the desired character is displa-
yed in the cursor, it can be confirmed by
pressing the MODE button. The cursor
changes to the next position. Each time
the MODE button is pressed, the cursor
moves one position further.
* Enter the desired message in this
manner, character by character.
*
Press the SET button to exit the
programming mode. The flashing cursor
disappears and the current display is
saved.
*
This switches the message fan to dis-
play mode. All programmed messages
will then be successively displayed in
changing animations.

In display mode the next message
(messages 1-6) can be brought up by
briefly pressing the SET button.
*
To program the other messages, press
the MODE button to enter programming
mode and continue as described above.
