REVERSE:
In the unlikely event of a paper jam, the reverse setting can
be used to help clear the cutters of paper that has not passed
through. Never attempt to clear a jam by using the reverse
function until you have emptied the wastebasket.

FoRWARD:
The forward setting can also be used to help clear the cut-
ters in the event of a paper jam.
This allows to manually activate the shredder into cutting
mode.
2) PAPER / CREDIt C ARD EntRy
ShredSafe™ technology is an added safety feature
incorporated in this particular model. It is a new
technology where the shredder is able to detect
forced entry and automatically cuts the power off,
preventing further shredding.
To begin shredding, locate the control switch on the unit and select
the "Auto" mode. The Green LED light indicates the shredder is "on" and
ready to use. Press the designated "PUSH OPEN" area on the handle of
the cover to open and expose the paper feed slot. The cover will click
into a preset position where the "SHREDDER STATUS" line must align
with the "READY" setting.
JAMFREE® ADVAnCED AntI-JAM tECHnoloGy.
This particular model is equipped with an advanced JamFree anti-jam
technology. When too many sheets are inserted, the Jam-Free sensor
detects over capacity and shredding will NOT START to prevent paper
jams.
The JamFree indicator light turns ON to advise users to remove excess
paper. To resume shredding insert less sheets.
READy:
The shredder is currently on STANDY and ready to operate when paper
is inserted.
With the feed slot now exposed, you can shred sheets of paper or 1
credit card/CD per pass.
DISABlED:
The safety feature has been activated. All power to the shredder is
currently shut off and will not operate
until the cover is returned to the
"READY" setting. The cover has been
opened beyond the safe position
AFtER USE:
When shredding is completed, you can
press the designated "PUSH CLOSE"
area on the cover to tilt shut the paper
feed slot. It is recommended to have
the paper feed slot closed when
shredder is not in use to prevent any
objects from accidentally getting into the feed slot.
EnERGy SAVInG AUto PoWER-oFF FEAtURE:
This particular model is equipped with an Auto-power-off feature. The

shredder will automatically shut off after 5-6min of non-use to save
energy.

Always turn off and unplug the shredder when not in use.

Thes shredder wil shred staples and small paper clips. It is rec-
ommended that you remove paper clips whenever possible to
extend the lifespan of your shredder.

Only shred credit cards by feeding them vertically into the mid-
dle of the entry, releasing when shredding begins. Never feed
more than one credit card at a time.
3) lED StAtUS InDIC AtoRS:
PoWER on:
The Green LED light indicates the shredder is "ON" and ready to op-
erate when paper is inserted.
oVERHEAt:
The Red LED light indicates the shredder has shred continuously
beyond the maximum running time and overheating, the unit will
automatically shut off. If this happens, switch the shredder Off for 30
minutes or longer before resuming normal operation.
oVERloAD:
The Red LED light indicates when too much paper is inserted. Use
the "Reverse" mode to back up and reduce the number of sheets.
DooR oPEn:
The Red LED light indicates the shredder basked is not pushed in
properly. Shredders with pull-out wastebaskets feature a safety
power cut off upon bin removal. Make sure the pull-out wastebas-
ket is properly set back into place and the green "Power On" indica-
tor is lit.
BIn FUll:
When the basket is full, the RED light will indicate it needs to be
emptied. While lit the shredder will be inoperable until the waste-
basket is cleared.
FEAtURES A CD/DVD DEStRoyER:
Do not hold CD/DVD with finger through the center ring while
feeding into the shredder. Serious injury may occur.
Never feed more than one credit card or
CD/DVD at a time.
1) Hold the CD/DVD by the edge and
feed one at a time, releasing when
shredding begins.
2) Shredder will stop when the entire
disc has been destroyed.
