Cleaning the foam filter

Rinse the foam filter thoroughly with cold tap water prior to its first use.
Fitting the skimmer

Position the skimmer on the wall of the aquarium in such a way that
the float body is floating high up on top of the water. This ensures that
the vacuum function will work even if the water level falls due to evap-
oration.
Commissioning/start-up
• Switching on: Plug the power plug into the outlet.
– The unit switches on immediately.
– Lay the power supply cord so that a drip loop is formed and the lowest
point is below the socket. This prevents dripping water from entering
the socket.
– Set the desired flow rate.
• Switching off: Pull the power plug from the outlet.
