Activating the device
The device uses 4 LR44 batteries.
For the first use, you can activate the device by removing the
insulating tab from the batteries (supplied) :

Once the tab has been
removed, use the switch on
the underside of the device
to select "Chime" or "Alarm"
mode, then test that the
detector is working properly
by moving the magnet away
from the main unit :
